DriveMgr

Privacy Policy

Effective 24 June 2026

Who we are

DriveMgr (DriveMgr) is a tool that lets you connect one or more Google accounts and browse, search, preview, upload, download, move and organize your Google Drive files from a single dashboard. This policy explains exactly what data we access, why, how it is stored, and how you can remove it.

What Google data we access, and why

When you connect a Google account, we request the Google Drive scope (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive) so the app can perform the actions you ask it to. We use this access only to provide the app’s features:

  • Browse & search — list folders/files and their metadata (name, type, size, dates).
  • Preview / download — read a file’s contents when you open or download it.
  • Upload, move, rename, delete, organize — create folders and change files when you ask us to.
  • AI organize (optional) — when you run Deep Organize, we read the text of the files you own to suggest names, categories and folders. Sensitive identifiers (e.g. ID numbers) are masked before being stored.
  • Your email & basic profile (openid, email, profile) — to create your account and label connected drives.

Google API Limited Use disclosure

DriveMgr’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We only use Google user data to provide and improve the features described above.
  • We do not transfer or sell this data to third parties except as needed to provide the service or as required by law.
  • We do not use this data for advertising.
  • We do not allow humans to read your data, except with your explicit consent, for security/abuse/debugging where automated processing isn’t feasible, or where required by law.
  • Google user data is not used to train generalized AI/ML models. The optional AI organize feature processes file content transiently to produce suggestions and our AI provider is configured not to retain or train on it.

What we store

  • Encrypted access tokens for each connected Google account (AES-256-GCM at rest). We never store your Google password.
  • A metadata index (file names, types, sizes, dates, ids) to make cross-drive search fast. We do not store full file contents.
  • Organize history — a record of moves so you can review or undo them.
  • Account basics — your email, display name, and plan.

Third parties (sub-processors)

  • Google — authentication and Drive access.
  • Our AI provider — only when you use AI features, and only the minimum text needed; configured not to retain or train on your data.
  • Hosting / database — to run the service.

Retention & deletion

You stay in control. Disconnecting a drive immediately removes its stored tokens and cached index. Deleting your account removes all associated data. You can also revoke DriveMgr’s access at any time from your Google Account permissions page. To request deletion, email je.dhiraj@gmail.com.

Security

Tokens are encrypted at rest, sign-in goes through Google (we never see your password), and access is scoped to your account. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow reasonable industry practices to protect your data.
